Are you changing any habits as a result of the spread of this disease?By the way, the first thing they do with a swine like this one is take a small piece of meat to a vet to test it for infections of any sort...so this one was clean...well, it is a pig, so "clean" is relative, right?

this image evidenttly shows the slaughtering of a pig. I'm guessing that their is some type of conection between the swine flu virus and the pig. Did the pig spread the virus?
ReplyDeleteNo, I have not changed my habits as a result of the spread of the disease. However, I am more aware of the spread of germs especially at school, the grocery store, or any public place. It is a good idea to keep hand sanitizer with you at all times.
ReplyDeleteI don't eat pork either way so my habits aren't changing. I do however think it is ironic to call a pig clean. Pigs eat each others tails and sometimes their own babies. I feel pigs are one of the filthiest animals on our planet. They eat anything from garbage to its own faeces. While I lived in Jordan our biology class did a a science project where we put coca-cola on a raw ham and worms started to come out of the meat. It was digusting.
ReplyDeletewoah, that is disgusting, Laura. And no no, Rebecca, this pig was not guilty of spreading anything more than his own filth. As far as pigs eating anything, before there were modern street sweepers, way back in the 1700s and 1800s, some big cities would let thousands of pigs out each night to eat up all the human waste flowing through the streets...ick, right?
ReplyDeleteI'm not worried at all. However, I am a bit more aware of when I last washed my hands. Other than that, there is not much one can do.
ReplyDeletenot really.
ReplyDeletebut i am a lot more careful about what i touch because ive been sick and i want to make sure no one gets sick from me.
my mom also made me go to the dr as soon as she found out because she wanted to make sure i didnt have it.
Nah, this is just another economy dodge. they're just trying to scare us away from the really pressing issues today.
ReplyDeleteI havent changed any habits but my dad doesnt doesnt want my brothers and i to be in crowded places at all.
ReplyDeleteMr. Schmoll has Swin flu no one come to class tomorrow lol jk
ReplyDeleteWell I am not beleiving on the Swine Flu. The reason is because I have to see it in person to believe it. I just think that the Goverment is just trying to scare us..
ReplyDeleteI haven't changed my habits i wash my hands when i'm supposed to. But at work since I work with little girls we make them wash their hands whenever they come from outside or get ready to eat any meal. I never knew they tested the pig before they sent the meat out. That really makes me more comfortable knowing they actually care.
ReplyDeleteNo, i haven't changed any of my habits due to the swine flu, but i am sure that if more cases get brought up closer to home, my habits will definitely change.
ReplyDeletenope, i havent changed anything.
